Dry Needling

Dry Needling

A Physiotherapist Performing Dry Needling Treatment on Woman's Shoulder

At Power Physiotherapy, dry needling is another technique available in our large selection of treatment regimes. It is very different to Chinese acupuncture as it does not incorporate the theories of traditional Chinese medicine, but instead it involves the use of very fine needles inserted into muscular ‘trigger points’.

The aim of this technique is to reduce pain, relax the muscles and restore normal function.

Suitability to receive this technique must first be thoroughly assessed by the examining physiotherapist.
